Woodburn Concrete, woodburnconcrete.com, hello@woodburnconcrete.com

Agreeing to these terms

These terms cover your use of the Woodburn Concrete website and any concrete work you hire us to do. By using the site, starting at our home page, or by booking an estimate or a job with us, you agree to them.

If you sign a written estimate or agreement with us for a specific job, that document controls wherever it says something different from this page. If you don't agree with these terms, please don't use the site, and talk to us before you book any work.

What we do

Woodburn Concrete is a concrete contractor based in Woodburn, OR. We pour driveways, patios, sidewalks, garage floors, steps, pool decks, foundations, footings and retaining walls, and we do stamped and decorative concrete, foundation raising and concrete cutting. We're licensed and insured. You can read more about who we are on our About page.

What you read on this site is general information about the trade and how we usually work. Your own job is set by what we see at your house and by what we put in writing for you, not by a description on a web page.

Estimates and pricing

Estimates are free, in person and carry no obligation. We give you a written price based on what we can see on site, and that price holds for the period written on it.

The price of a concrete job usually moves with the size and thickness of the slab, whether old concrete has to come out first, how much digging and packing the subgrade needs, meaning the soil and gravel the slab sits on, how easy it is to get our equipment and the concrete truck to the spot, and the finish you pick. A plain broom finish costs less than stamped or colored work.

Sometimes we only find a problem once the old slab is broken out, like soft ground or buried debris. If that happens, we stop and tell you what we found, what it would take to fix and what it costs, and we don't do the extra work until you say yes.

Scheduling, weather and cancellation

We'll give you a target date for your pour, but concrete depends on the weather, so heavy rain or extreme heat can push it back. If we have to move your date, we'll call you as soon as we know and set a new one.

If you need to cancel or reschedule, call us at (971) 772-3554 as early as you can. Once concrete, steel or other materials have been ordered for your job, or the site has been dug out and formed, you may owe the costs we can't get back, as your written agreement explains.

Payment

Your written estimate or agreement sets out what you pay and when, including any deposit. Payments are due on the dates it gives.

If a payment is late, we may pause remaining work until it's paid, and we may use the remedies Oregon law allows to collect what's owed. If you have a question about a bill, call us before the due date so we can sort it out.

Your part after the pour

New concrete needs time to cure, which is the stretch where it slowly hardens and gains its strength, so it has to be left alone before anyone walks or drives on it. We'll tell you how long to wait for your job, and you agree to keep people, pets and vehicles off it until then.

You're also responsible for telling us before we start about anything buried under the work area that we couldn't know about, like private sprinkler lines, drain pipes or septic parts.

Our guarantee and its limits

Satisfaction guaranteed. If something about our workmanship isn't right, call us and we'll come look at it and make it right in the way your written agreement describes.

Concrete can still crack, even when it's done well. We cut control joints, which are straight grooves in the slab, so that if it cracks it usually does so along those lines and not across the middle. A small hairline crack, especially one that follows a joint, is normal and isn't a defect.

Our guarantee doesn't cover damage from things outside our control, like ground movement, tree roots, flooding, loads heavier than the slab was built for, work done by someone else, or using the concrete before the cure time we gave you. Color and texture in stamped and decorative concrete naturally vary from one section to the next and from any sample.

Beyond what's in your written agreement, we don't make any other promises about our work, spoken or implied, to the extent the law allows. This website is provided as is, and we don't promise it will always be available or free of errors.

Limits on our liability

To the extent Oregon law allows, our total responsibility for any claim about a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job. We aren't responsible for indirect losses, like lost use of your property or lost income, that come from a delay or a problem with the work.

Nothing on this page limits any responsibility that the law doesn't allow a business to limit.

If we disagree

If you're unhappy with something, call us first, because most problems get settled faster on the phone or at your driveway than anywhere else. If we can't work it out between us, we both agree to try mediation with a neutral person before either of us goes to court.

If a dispute does go to court, it will be heard in a court in Oregon in the county where the work was done.

Which law applies

These terms and any job we do for you are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon.

Changes to these terms

We may update this page from time to time. The version posted here when you book a job is the one that applies to that job, and any changes after that won't apply to work you've already agreed to unless we both sign off in writing.
